16th Annual North Carolina Gold Festival



(May 31-June 1, 2019) Old Fort, NC: Enjoy taking a step back in time and learn to pan for GOLD, and about the rich history of our great state of NC as the “first in gold mining”. With many food vendors along with gold & Jewelry vendors,many door prizes, raffles, kids games, live music from 10 am till 4 pm. Something for everyone, Fun for the whole family. Free admission.

Strike it rich at the Official North Carolina Gold Festival in Old Fort. Activities include gold and gem panning. Headliner: Original drummer/vocalist member of the Supergroup Alabama band. The writer of many hits including “Why Lady Why” and Johnny Cash hits. Display by the Reed Gold Mine, demonstrations, exhibits, a Bechtler Gold Coin Exhibit, live music from NC Gold Album. This event gets underway.


North Carolina Black Bear Festival


(June 1-2, 2019) Plymouth, NC Don’t miss out! Mark your calendar for the award-winning NC Black Bear Festival. The Embers will perform on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at noon, so come on out and enjoy a great festival and beach music by The Embers featuring Craig Woolard!






(June 1, 2019) Carolina Beach, NC: Here is your chance to dance barefoot on the sand or just sway to the Beach Music Beat while standing in the surf. Held the first Saturday in June, the Beach Music Festival hosted by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce is billed as “the biggest and only beach music festival actually held on the beach on the North Carolina coast” and one of the longest running beach music festivals in the United States. Come out and enjoy a full day of live entertainment with the hottest beach music bands in the south!


Port City Music Festival 2019 – Wilmington, NC


(June 2-9, 2019) Wilmington, NC: This is a week-long classical music festival that takes place along our coast in Wilmington. 2nd Annual Poelico Arts and Music Festival


(June 1-2, 2019) Asheville, NC: Bring your friends, bring your good vibes, and even bring your dogs out to Poelico Music and Arts Festival! Taking place in Asheville, NC, this event is hosted by The Bywater; 796 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC.

Charlotte Mimosa Festival


(June 2, 2019) Charlotte, NC This is a tasty one-day music festival for Adults Only! You must be 21 to enjoy the delightful Mimosa Festival being held at Unknown Brewing Company,  1327 South Mint Street, Charlotte, NC on Sunday, June 2, 2019. “They welcome you to come out for an afternoon of unlimited mimosa tastings, great music, entertainment, pop up shops, and awesome food from some of Charlotte’s finest food trucks.” 

This is the First Annual Charlotte Mimosa Festival. Doors open at 1 pm for the general public, with VIP admission beginning at 12 noon. This is general admission and your ticket includes unlimited mimosa tastings from our flavored mimosa bars, with VIP admission including access to our VIP bar area, with unique mimosa flavors and limited complimentary catered food.

 (June 7-8) – Celebrating its 36th year, The Washington Summer Festival comes to town. The weekend town event offers lots of fun for the family including live music, arts and crafts and a free street fair highlight this annual event.

Francis Rogallo was a NASA scientist and inventor of the flexible wing. His inventions started the sport of hang gliding and his designs have carried over into the development of stunt kites, power kites, and hang gliders that are flown today. We invite you to join us and fly a kite at the 36th Annual Rogallo Kite Festival to celebrate Francis Rogallo and his many accomplishments.

Kitty Hawk Kites and friends will be displaying amazing 30 – 100 ft kites on top of Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Join us and fly a kite of your own, take part in FREE stunt kite lessons, kite coloring for the kiddos, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular kites as the fly in the sky.

The Garage


Aaron Davenport will be rocking the stage at The Garage tonight from 7-10 pm. Come check out the new stage. Grab a fresh beer and some food while you are there too. This is the place to bring the kids too, with arcade games and a virtual playing field to keep everyone busy.



BrÜtopia offers the freshest brewed beer and the rocking grooves of The Raucous Bros., who will be sharing songs tonight and jamming from 7-10 pm. Free music for your listening pleasure. There is always a reason to head to town and gather for some fun. Tonight’s reason: LIVE MUSIC



Broad Street Christian Church

Broad Street Christian Church hosts a once monthly open mic. Tonight the talented players will gather. Sign up starts at 6 pm. Music plays from 6:30 pm until 9 pm. All levels and players are welcome to participate.


The Brown Pelican


The Brown Pelican hosts the live music of Holden Dixon joining Sometimes Lions for a show tonight at the Dirty Bird from 8-11 pm. Free music is never free, so be sure to tip the players that move you!


Blackbeard’s Triple Play


Blackbeard’s Triple Play Restaurant, 415 S Front St. The party comes courtesy of the makeshift version of Steel County Express. This should make for an interesting night anyway. Music plays at 7:30 – 11 pm. For more info please reach out and call the club at 252-635-0322.


City Stage New Bern

It’s going to be a wonderful night of music with John Van Dyke offering The Music of Nat King Cole tonight at  The City Stage New Bern.  Showtime is 8 pm this event is free! Come enjoy a great night and a fun show.

E-Club Emerald Isle will bring my buddies from The BiPolar Express to the beach to rock you tonight. For anyone looking to throw back to the ’80s hairbands and ’90s grunge rock, be sure to make this your final stop of the night if you are along the coast. It will be a rocking fun time for sure.  Free music starts at 10 pm.

Off The Hook will host the good grooves of Selah Dubb tonight starting at 10 PM. This local band will offer a great variety of reggae grooves. They will be rocking the deck until 1:30 am. Come dance and Spread the love!

Josh Preslar was born and raised in the Piedmont Region of North Carolina (NC). After watching his father play he was inspired to take up guitar at the young age of 11. “I would sneak my Dad’s guitar out from under his bed when he was at work. I didn’t know how to play anything yet but I couldn’t help myself, I was drawn to it!” By the age of 16 his interest in the guitar soon became a passion and he started performing in talent shows, friend’s parties, and, in fact, anywhere he could.

Tonight Josh will be rocking the stage at The Blue Note Grill. Show starts at 8 pm and tickets cost $8.00.

There are some live music choices up to our North tonight. There is a new room to welcome the bands during the winter months at Backwater Jack’s Tiki Bar & Grill. And that is where music is served from 7-10 pm each Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. On Thursdays, they welcome all players with a Low Key Open Mic Night hosted by Brian Burke.

On Fridays and Saturdays, it’s the finest local acts on the list to entertain you, while you dine and drink and unwind. Tonight it is High Cotton rocking the blues for your soul!

Nick’s Blacksheep Tavern


It’s an Adam Hill weekend at Nick’s Blacksheep Tavern, with the rocking guitarist giving it up tonight with a solo serving from 9 pm until 1 am. Come back tomorrow for the three-course meal with the full band rocking you again from 9 pm until 1 am. NBT is owned and operated by retired Marine Nick Nichols and his devoted wife Valarie. This couple has been supporting live music since opening the doors three years ago.

Come out this holiday weekend and support them in their mission to entertain the area with the best live music on the scene! While you are out there, thank Nick Nichols for his service as we all take a moment to remember those that sacrificed it all for our freedoms today. God Bless America!

Headlining this event will be The Switch on Saturday evening, May 25, 2019. This is a great event to take the whole family out for a fun day. Located in downtown Aurora, NC it is great fun for the kids.
