Back On The Scene With Tracey Stones

A Rockin’ Rewind
It’s been a very difficult season, to say the least, and thanks to the help of supporters, I am still pushing through the rough patches and looking for the glory. Music is still my go-to for comfort and peace of mind. Having said that, let’s recap the last few weeks as we move forward in this revised blog plan.
Caffeinated Soul Boogie
I have had the pleasure of catching Caffeinated Soul Boogie a couple of times in recent weeks. The first time I caught them was in late June where they kicked things off in Oriental for Crocker Festival. They played under the tent outback of The New Village Brewery. Though it was a scorcher they played all the cool tunes that give them their fun edge.
Concerts in the Park for Tracey Stones Productions
I also hosted the band a couple of weeks back for a concert in the park. The music series brings acts to Fairfield Harbour to perform a concert in the park. These concerts take place on Sunday afternoons at Red Sail Park. These events are brought to the residents of Fairfield Harbour and their friends courtesy of Tracey Stones Productions, LLC. The residents enjoyed the show so much they will return for an encore performance on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Music starts at 2 pm.
This weekend you can pack a snack and come out to enjoy the blues with Big Jim Kohler.
For those looking to boogie, you can catch Caffeinated Soul Boogie this weekend rocking BrUtopia tomorrow evening. Music plays at 7-10 pm.
If you are looking for something different take some time to get know this New Bern based Americana Quartet, featuring Derrick Moore on guitar and his talented daughter Darria Yeager fronting the vocals. They are a fun band who can be found on Facebook at Caffeinated Soul Boogie or you can visit their website at www.caffsoulboogie.com.

The Bands That Have Rocked Me Since We Last Danced
The BiPolar Express
I have caught the crazy train to rock n roll paradise with The BiPolar Express a couple of times since we last met. The boys have had a fun and busy Summer, rocking faces from the shore points to the big stages of Raleigh and even in their own backyard here at Blackbeard’s Triple Play.
During the weekend of the last celebrated holiday, the guys rocked the stage at The Lincoln Theatre splitting the bill with Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band, Second Helping.
For those looking to get rocked tonight, you can find The BiPolar Express rocking The E Club in Emerald Isle tonight The fun jams get rocking at 10 pm.
For those that find themselves a little more inland, Second Helping is rocking Wayne Community College tonight. Adam Hill opens the event with a rocking acoustic set. Tickets are $40 at the door. Doors open at 6 pm. Food Trucks are on-site. Music starts at 7 pm.

Thunderstruck
Speaking of rock acts conquering new territory, Night Train and Hayvyn warmed things up for Thunderstruck when they all rocked the State Theatre couple weeks ago. Though it was my intention to catch Night Train, a Guns n Roses Tribute Band, I instead caught the glam rock band Hayvyn and the AC DC Tribute band that never disappoints. Thunderstruck does not make it to our area often enough for my taste so when they do roll into Greenville, I like to be there to support.
This band is based out of Raleigh and tours the region. Several of the players in Thunderstuck are lending chops to Night Trian’s effort. Including guitarist Jeff Young and frontman Lee Robinson. Coming up in the month of August the guys will be busy with Night Train performances. Checking things out for September, it looks like both bands get busy again. Be sure to like and follow both bands on Facebook by clicking their link above.

Hayvyn
Hayvyn is the glam rock pop band that took the stage in-between the tribute acts at State Theatre. This band has been a known staple to the Raleigh rock scene for more than a decade and they still enjoy putting on a show for fans and friends alike. Working up the beats for the band were Con Jon on Vocals/Guitar. Tommy on Bass/Vocals. Kip on lead guitar and Dirty Dee back on Drums/Vocals. They have no dates on the books to speak of but you can check out their website by visiting the link below:

Jan Michael Fields Band
The final band we are going to check in with on our first trip around the dance floor in nearly a month is The Jan Michael Fields Band. This hard-working rock and pop outfit bring the party with them everywhere they go. I caught the guys a couple of times so far this summer and they are having a blast rocking with crowds along the coast of the Carolinas.
Earlier in the summer, I caught them here in town at Blackbeard’s Triple Play but just two weeks ago I found them rocking the party crowd at Jack’s Waterfront Bar in Morehead City. This five-piece ensemble hails from South Carolina and spends most of their weekends rocking fans and friends near and far.
To see where they are going to be rocking next find the band on Facebook and make a date to catch them at a venue near you.
