Ed Prophet will provide the perfect blend of sounds that wash down well with dinner this evening at Captain Ratty’s Restaurant, located at 202 Middle Street New Bern, NC. He will offer the music accompaniment from 6-9 pm.
Live at The City Laundry, located at 901 Pollock St. New Bern, NC, you can enjoy the sounds of another local talent. It’s Vintage Thursday with talent local crooner, Alisa Mike who will give it her all from 6:30 -8:30 pm. This makes for another fine choice for a taste of nibbles and nightlife.
The Open Mic around town is tonight at The Brown Pelican, located at 411 Broad St. New Bern, NC. Music starts at 7:30 pm and the jam continues til 10 pm. All players are welcome to come down and show their talents. So call all of your talented friends and gather on Broad Street tonight!
Wild Honey will be on the patio this evening at Carolina Home & Garden, located at 4778 Highway 24 Newport, NC. Come enjoy the acoustic duo that offer great american folk style blues that get the toes tapping and hips swaying.

Morgan Comber will be the live music in the lounge this evening at Saltwater Grill, located at 99 W Church St. Swansboro, NC. She will serve up the acoustic offerings while you enjoy the great food served by the attentive staff. Music starts at 8 and continues til 9 pm.
The Trading Post Southern Food & Spirits, located at 8302 Emerald Dr. Emerald Isle, NC, started their weekly offering of music on Saturday and Thursday evenings last weekend. Taking the stage to usher in the season of Thursday offerings we find Steven Compton live tonight from 5:30-8:30 pm. Come enjoy some great food and dance to a tune or two before departing with your date.
Taking a look around the Southern shores, we find Southern Culture on the Skid will be live tonight with last night’s feature band right here. The Phantom Playboys are warming things up for a full night of dancing and fun at Reggie’s 42nd Street Tavern, located at 1415 S 42nd St. Wilmington, NC. For those itching to play around the Wilmington area, you are invited to head down to Bottega, located at 723 N 4th St. Wilmington, NC. All levels of players are welcome. Music happens from 7-11 pm. So call your friends and tell them to bring their talent out tonight!
Starting things off in Kinston tonight, we find Mac & Juice Duo have a gig this evening at Sugar Hill Pizzeria, located at 211 N Herritage St. Kinston, NC. They will offer up the jams from 8 pm til 11 pm.
Thursday marks all you can eat spaghetti dinner from 5-9 pm, with live music by JLane tonight at North Street Pub & Eatery, located at 115 W North St. Kinston, NC. Music is served up from 7-10 pm so grab the family and gather for an old-fashioned spaghetti supper, but not like grandmas, as this one features the cultural appeal of live music to go with the gravy!
Arts Council of Wayne County open their doors at 102 N John St. Goldsboro, NC for an open mic night. Music starts at 6:30 pm and all are welcome to come out and participate or simply enjoy!
Thursday is a rather popular night for open mic events, and keeping with that theme I found three in the Raleigh area.
First one takes place tonight at Korner Pocket Sports Bar & Grille, located at 8508 Capital Blvd. Raleigh, NC. This open stage has drums set up so call your friends and bring the band to display your talents tonight from 9 pm til 1 am
There is also an open mic event taking place at The Big Easy, located at 222 Fayetteville, NC. Players are welcome to display their talents some time between 10 pm and 1 am. All levels are welcome and here is what it said on the event page:

Little City Open Mic Night is also tonight! That happens each week at Little City Brewing & Provisions Co., located at 400 W North St. Suite 120 Raleigh, NC. They open their stage from 8 pm til midnight for all those looking to express themselves.
They’ve been growing every week and bringing in acts of all genres to flood the air with sweet sounds.
Professional full-range PA, house guitar, cajon for percussion and lighted stage all ready for your talent.
There are fabulous drinks at the bar and many local food joints that will deliver.

Thursdays mark Local Beer / Local Bands at Pour House Music Hall, located at 224 S Blount St. Raleigh. This week they welcome five bands to the stage. Tonight you can rock with Tab One & Sinopsis, Lazurus, Ghost Dog, Mosca Flux and Venomiss.
Doors open at 8 pm. Music starts at 8:30 pm. Cover charge is $5.00 and this is a 21 and over event. Come enjoy some fresh beer from local brewers and rock to local bands all night.
Live tonight at Neptune’s, located at 14 W Martin Rd., they offer a trip bill of eclectic bands to rock you tonight. Check out Operator Music Band, Paperhaus and Sam Leidig all on stage tonight. Doors open at 9 pm, music starts at 9:30 and there is a $5.00 music charge payable at the door.
Checking things out in Chapel Hill, I found a Hip Hop event for fans happening tonight at Linda’s Bar & Grill, located at 203 E Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC. They offer live music each Thursday and serve up some wonderful BBQ sandwiches and chips. The event is free and the food affordable so come out and enjoy the Grooves of J Rowdy’s House Party with The Nightshift starting tonight at 9 pm.
Live at The Cave, located at 452 W Franklin St. Chapel Hill, NC, you can enjoy a great mix of live music with three acts performing tonight. Doors open at 8 pm and music starts at 9 pm. Here is more on the performers and the schedule from the Facebook event page:

There is one final open mic event that I found for the folks in and around The Spring, located at 3616 NC Highway 42 Willow Springs, NC. You are invited to come display your talents from 7-10 pm. Here is what they have on the Facebook event page:
What’s up all my music makin’ friends out there! Come join us this Thursday for Open Mic at The Spring! Acoustic guitar, bass, and percussion are provided for anyone to use, but feel free to bring your own gear if you like. Craft beer is on special for $3 and live streaming to Facebook is available. There’s also free pool tables, a full bar, a nice stage to jam on, and plenty of room for all your friends. Last week we had some amazing musicians that came out and played, so bring yourself on out and get in on the jam!
Live for dinner and a show at Westgate Grill, located at 3639 Sunset Ave. Rocky Mount, NC, you can enjoy the acoustic show of Christina Marks live from 7-11 pm. Come out and enjoy a great meal while supporting live music.
Dueling Pianos will provide the entertainment at Arts of the Pamlico, located at 150 W Main St. Washington, NC. They will be tearing up the tunes from 7-9 pm on stage at the Turnage Theater. This event is a fundraiser and proceeds to benefit Washington-Beaufort County Chamber of Commerce & Arts of the Pamlico. Tickets are $20 plus tax. Seating is limited so come early to get your ticket.
