Heading South on 17, you might be interested in bringing the family out for a day of fun. This event is taking place in Richlands and offers lots of fun options:

Farmer’s Day is an outdoor festival filled with nearly 100 vendors. From homemade jams, salsas, and relishes, to hand painted birdhouses, Independent Consultants with many direct sales companies such as, Thirty-One, Scentsy, Mary Kay and Thrive, just to name a few.

Also all of your favorite festival foods, from funnel cakes, to hand chopped pork BBQ, Italian Ice and many, many more!!!!

FREE Admission and FREE parking!!! Historic Hayrides thru town, Bingo, Dunk Tanks, Basketball Throw games, and inflatable bounce houses for the kids…and the list goes on!!!

The 3rd annual Friends of Farmers Singer/Songwriter Contest is a great chance for novice and experienced artists to showcase their music. Winner gets a chance to appear on the Earl Jones Music Revue TV show in a spotlight segment.

And last but not least, our signature Antique Tractor Display, complete with a Parade of Power at 3:45 thru the festival grounds!


Over in Jacksonville this evening you can find Justin Castellano live at Biagio’s Italian Coffee & Espresso Bar located at 622 Court St, Jacksonville, NC. He will be delivering his music magic from 7-10 pm.


Heading out West we find a pause for the cause going down at the Southland Ball Room located at 614 N West St., Raleigh . Many of the areas hard rockers are getting together tonight to raise money for Tony. This man made a difference in another man’s life you see and that man he is well connected in the music industry, so when he heard that his friend, who once helped him on his feet needed brain and heart surgery, he took matters into his own hands. This benefit tonight will offer BBQ plates and lots of great hard rocking talent!

We are helping our friend Tony raise money for his brain surgery & upcoming heart surgery. Lexx Luthor, Last Call Messiah’s, Fair Warning (Ultimate Tribute To Van Halen), LaureNicole, Shell Shock, Driver X & Chris Bledsoe are all donating their talents. We will be selling bbq plates from White Swan Bbq prior to the show for 10.00. Tickets for the event will be 10.00 in advance & 12.00 at the door. Let’s Rock This Forward For Tony!!!


Next stop, Raleigh Road Show parks at Tony’s Oyster Bar in Cary, NC. Here is what I found on this Facebook Events page:

PATIO PARTY #4 at Tony’s Oyster Bar with the Raleigh Road Show Invitational with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen. A great lineup of entertainment on the Patio with Uncovered and Clockworx. A special performance by the host Randall Honeycutt, Pat Murphy and Mike Krause of Crush at 6:30PM. Uncovered- 7:15/30. Clockworx-9:15. CRUSH will be inside for the after-party around 10:45PM. Don’t miss a great time!


Mac & Juice Quartet will be bringing their jams to rock The Red Room located at 22o N Heritage Ave., Kinston, NC. This band got together when the players were in college and after graduation they stuck with their hobby and followed their hearts and let the music fuel their careers.

More than a decade after graduation the band is still packing venues and entertaining crowds around the region. They are a good time, groove band with seasoned players that enjoy their craft. Check them out tonight when they rock it from 10 pm til 2 am.

Along the Coast

The Remedy will be bringing their blues to the Biergarten Festival that is going down tonight at Harrika’s Brew Haus  from 6-11 pm and dinner selections being offered by way of Jackie’s On Roll food truck! HBH is located at 911 Cedar Point Blvd, Cedar Point, NC.


The enchanting duo 4EverAll will be bringing their show to the dinner crowd tonight in The Boat Bar at Snapperz Grill & Steam Bar. They will be sharing their music and chemistry from 7-10 pm


Just over the bridge you can find Delancy Loftus  delivering gritty and grooving selections. He will be live at The Cru Bar and Wine Store located at 120 Turner St., Beaufort, NC. You can catch this singer/songwriter from 8th Street Locals be entertaining the crowd from 8:30-11:30 pm.


Roman Sam’s Band

The Roman Sams have a show tonight at Kelly’s Outer Banks Restaurant & Tavern located at 2316 S Croatan Hwy, Nags Head, NC. They will be delivering the best in classic rock tonight from 9:30 pm til 12:30 am. They are a tight unit with many seasoned players that make the crowd take notice of their talents. Get ready to dance, This band is a lot of fun and will rock your troubled soul!

Around Town, New Bern


Big Jim Kohler Band will be rocking their blues and celebrating the birthday of singing sensation Kathleen Kohler today on the Deck at The DoubleTree by Hilton located on South Front Street. The party gets started at 2:30 and the full band will be on hand to rock your blues away til 5:30 pm.


The Party at The Barn will be taking place tonight, all to help raise awareness and funds for Promise Place, our areas Sexual Assault Resource Center, serving children and adults, helping individuals and families heal from trauma. Tonight The Merchant’s Road will be performing live. Look for the recap of that story in the days ahead.  Gates open at 5 and music starts soon after. Food, raffles, auctions and live music make this event so inspiring!



James Ford will be live on the patio at Annabelle’s located at the Main Entrance of The New Bern Mall on Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.  He will be entertaining dinners from 7-10 pm.


Matthew Kerlin hosts an Open Mic event at BrÜtopia, located at 1201 Highway 70 E, New Bern. Sign up sheet starts at 6 and music gets started about 6:30 til 9:30 tonight. Come on out and display your talent and enjoy some of the newest craft beers on the market!

Marron Chaplin, an Emerald Isle native now living in New York City and front woman for the acoustic rock band Dead Rocking Horse, is home visiting this week, including her mother in New Bern.
She has been hitting some local spots, including the weekly open mic at Mesh Sports Lounge on Trent Road Wednesday night. Saturday night, she returns to the Mesh for two shows, at 7 and 10 p.m.
