Also taking place in the region, you can check out Tweed with The Landing, live tonight at The One Stop at Asheville Music Hall, located at 55 College St., Asheville, NC. Here is what I found on the Facebook Event page:
Tweed inspires and excites through music fueled by high energy performance and improvisation. Just as their namesake fabric of mingling colors and textures, Tweed has interwoven a psychedelic web of funk, rock and electronica. The band was formed at University of Delaware and now calls Philadelphia its stomping ground. Their collaboration can take listeners from multi-layered visions through the psyche to sweaty, raging dance parties driven by their own incessant beat.
“Tweed has become one of the hottest up-and-coming bands, quickly expanding their audience and repertoire… Tweed takes you on a euphoric journey through a wormhole to the future with what they have coined ‘jamchronica.’ Their progressive style mixed with heavy synth effects produces epic, layered jams that any livetronica head is sure to be pulled into.” – HeadSpace Magazine

Live tonight at The Lincoln Theater, located at 126 E Cabarrus St., Raleigh, NC; it is the Infamous Stringdusters. Tickets are $25.00 plus tax and this is a general admission. Doors open at 8 pm.Here is what I learned on the Facebook Event page:
At the helm of today’s bluegrass advancement stands The Infamous Stringdusters. Composed of Andy Hall (dobro), Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), and Travis Book (upright bass), this acoustic quintet combines a collective skill set seldom rivaled, but often reveled.
The Stringdusters’ resume includes six studio albums, four International Bluegrass Music Association awards, and a Grammy nomination, but their true brilliance lies in their passion for live performance. Intricate harmonies, cleverly composed arrangements and their profound commitment to presentation induces traditionalists and newcomers to stomp their feet on common ground.
With a nod to the past and a firm foot down on the gas toward the future, the ‘Dusters “…don’t leave bluegrass behind; they’re stretching it from within.” – New York Times
