I headed to Murrell’s Inlet, SC for the night because Adam Hill Band was scheduled to rock at Suck Bang Blow, which they did, more on that in a moment.
First I grabbed a bite to eat at King St. Tavern where I checked out the grooves of Austin Perry. Perry hails from the Myrtle Beach area but is quite familiar with NC as that is where he attended school. Currently the artist stays busy most nights of the week sharing his songs in bars and restaurants. Not a bad way to work it! If you’d like to learn more look for him on Facebook under Austin Perry Music and give his page a like.
My next stop brought me across the street from my final stop for the night. I checked out the scene at The Whiskey Fish Tavern and they had it going on with Joe’s On Call, giving up the beats for the party crowd. This trio was working hard for their pay, with the drummer not only kicking the beat but also offering all of the strong vocals too. If you get around the way and want to see a fun band look them up for a good night out.
Last but not least I closed out the night with my favorite rocker around the region. Adam Hill Band rocked Suck Bang and Blow last night for a good crowd of familiar faces. It was wonderful to be so far from home and see so many awesome supports we know from home. On behalf of the band, Thank you for all who made the journey. They think you rock! The Adam Hill Band has two more gigs today and I have more on that and other gigs now!
Happy Veterans Day to all that have served our great land. My heart is full of gratitude for you and the sacrifices you made for my freedom! Thank you!

Tickets are $20 and available at the door. This annual event comes to us by way of Peace Soldier Productions and the Peace Soldier himself, Bobby Hurff who has worked diligently with the good folks at RCS in town, to put in place a program that helps to serve our homeless Veterans right here in Craven County.

Next up will be the band that rocked me good last night in Myrtle Beach, come check out The Adam Hill Band on stage about 1 pm to rock souls and melt faces. They are a busy unit with three shows to cover in under 24 hours and traveling through two states to do it. Big round of applause for them.
Next to the stage will be the fun party grooves of Limited Engagement, who will get you dancing to all the songs made popular in the 80’s 90’s and even now. This trio of players are fairly new to the scene, but have come on strong and made quite a splash with their talents and skill of offering good times via fun music.
The local rockers known as Smokehouse will be the next act to rock the house, with their brand of good grooves. They are a four piece outfit also from around town and known for rocking the crowd.
Closing out the full day of great rocking fun will be none other than Peace Soldier. This newly reformed band will close out this awesome event, that is intended to help those that need us. Please come out today and enjoy lunch and all of the great music. If you do, you will be helping Vets right here at home on this awesome holiday.

The Adam Hill Band completes their very full day with a final showing at The Red Room, 220 N Herritage St., Kinston, NC, where they will rock from 10pm til 2 am. Come enjoy the sounds of blues, country and southern rock done right, with a serving of slick guitar leads that bend and twist fans in time to the music on the dance floor. Nothing thrills me more actually than watching the dance floor fill, while Hill offers one of his own songs. This artist is amazing and beyond an average talent. Please check him out soon and rock your soul right. The music charge for tonight’s show is $5.00 and tips are also greatly appreciated.
Heading in a different direction, Tiffany Elaine who rocked New Bern last week for Lily Fest 2017 for the Coastal Women’s Shelter, will be back on the clock tonight and bringing her music to the folks at The Flying Monkey, located at 6250 B NC 11 South Ayden, NC. There are two great blues acts that I want to draw your attention to, so if you will please:
First I ask that you dress to stay warm and join me tomorrow evening at Circa 1810 Restaurant & Bar at The Harvey Mansion, 221 S Front St., New Bern, NC, as the sun sets on another fun music weekend with David Russell and The Port City Blues Band, in town from Wilmington to rock your blues away from 5-8 pm.
For blues fans around the Triangle, be sure to come out and say hey to my friends from up the north, Skyla Burrell will be back in North Carolina with her band of blues misfits that will melt your soul. If you missed them in April when they lit Kinston ablaze, be sure to spend some time in Durham this Wednesday night. Burrell and her boys will be at The Blue Note Grill, 709 Washington St., Durham, NC Music plays from 8-11 pm and the admission for the sow is $8.00. The food is awesome and I recommend doing dinner and a show anytime you head to this venue.
Checking things out around the rest of the region. I ask my Facebook followers where we can go to hear them play. This is what they said this week
