Checking things out in Winston-Salem; there is a triple shot of talent on the agenda at The Garage, located at 110 W 7 th St., Winston-Salem, NC. There is an all ages show happening tonight at Muddy Creek Music Hall, located at 5455 Bethania Rd., Winston-Salem, NC. Tonight for your pickin’ pleasure you can enjoy Hank, Pattie & The Current. The final show I heard about in that area is going down at Johnny N Junes, located at 2105 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC. You can catch HedTrip who will rock you from 9 pm til 1 am.
Thick n Thin have a show tonight at 240 Bar & Grill, located at 3706 Elmsley Court, Greensboro, NC. They will be offering up the music from 8 pm-11 pm.
Brothers Pearl have a show tonight at The Deck at River Twist, located at 118 E. Main St., Jamestown, NC. Music starts at 9 pm.
Jive Mother Mary will be jamming tonight at Brewballs, located at 3730 S Church St., Burlington, NC. Music starts tonight at 9:30 pm and they keep you in the groove til 1 am.
The Gravy Boys are on stage tonight at The Blue Note Grill, located at 709 Washington St., Durham, NC. Music starts at 8 pm and they will keep you grooving til 11 pm. The cost for this show is $10.00. I recommend going early and enjoying a wonderful dinner before the show.
Having a look around other areas throughout the state we find Caliber .45 has a show tonight at The Junction, located at 791 Tarheel Rd., Benson, NC. Come on out and boot scoot with this country band tonight from 9:30 pm til 1:30 am. Doors open at 8 pm and there is a music charge to be paid at the door.
Checking things out around Charlotte, NC, Gump Fiction will be live at Flight Beer and Music Hall, located at 314 N College St., Charlotte, NC. The music will bring you back through the 90’s and it all starts at 9 pm with music going til 1 am.
It is the 6th Annual Winter Splash ~ A Tribute to Bob Marley happening tonight at Visulite Theatre, located at 1615 Elizabeth Ave., Charlotte, NC. David Childers will be offering his sounds to the crowd over at Riverview Raw Bar, located at 10012 Moores Chapel Loop, Charlotte, NC. Music starts at 8 pm and he provides his talents til 11 pm.
Live tonight at Schooly’s Bar & Billiards, located at 102 East Trade St., Sanford, NC, it is the music of Ponder. The music starts at 9:30 pm and the band will rock you til 1:30 am.
Tonight at The Red Room, located at 220 N Heritage St., Kinston, NC, you can get your southern rock fix with Southbound 85. They get the party started tonight at 10 pm and keep you rocking til 2 am. There is a $5.00 music charge payable at the door.

There is a great musical duo scheduled to perform this evening at The Old Theater, located at 609 Broad St., Oriental, NC. Beleza offers an eclectic mix of sounds and will offer the music from 7:30 pm til 9:30 pm. You can get your ticket at the door. The cost is $22.00 for this show

Tommy Redd/ Adam Hill Bluelight Jam Starts at 9:30pm
This is a once in a life time get together ya’ll. Tommy Redd’s birthday is next week. Let’s show him some hometown love back where he came from. Most everyone knows this legend. Hailing from Maysville NC , he’s founder, songwriter , guitar player, singer for legendary NC rock-n-roll hall of fame, RCA, Epic National Recording artist Nantucket. Though Nantucket is Tommy’s baby and they will be playing next week at the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh for Tommy’s official birthday bash….Tommy has had and has great bands like Soul Daddy’s, The Boogie Chillin’s and Red Wigglers and loves a good down home jam like this one here tomorrow. Peltier NC is gonna be rocking.
Adding up to the spice, get you a load of guitar slinger Adam Hill… Yew, are gonna be pleased you did. From the NC touring original band Victim of the Cause to the great covers of Almond Bro’s, Molly Hatchet, Collective Soul, you name it and new original music Adam Hill Band..

He offers the free live music from 8 pm til 11 pm. There is no cover for this show, but you might want to come early to get a seat and taste some wine.

LITT (Life in the Trees) – Local to W Wilmington, NC, LITT has been all over the place this winter, with new material and a brand new live show featuring live guitar and drums over beautifully produced electronic/jam inspired productions.

~ Gettin’ Down Around Town, New Bern ~
Live tonight at Trent River Coffee Company there is a display of Wizard Rock going down. Here are all the details and what to expect, plus ticket information:
“What is a wizard rock band?” you ask. The Blibbering Humdingers specialize in music about Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Celtic Myth, medieval fantasy, and science fiction. Scott & Kirsten Vaughan of Cary, NC began performing together in 1992 and have played hundreds of shows over the years at Sci-Fi conventions, Renaissance Faires, and Harry Potter conventions. Their sound ranges from folksy and medieval to 50’s Doo Wop, 80’s Pop, and straight up acoustic rock. If you’re a fan of Weird Al Yankovic, Jonathan Coulton, or other “geek” music, you won’t want to miss the Blibbering Humdingers’ wit and goofy humor. *Ouiser & the Innovation Station performs scenes mixed with musically improvised songs. Keyboardist, Molly Peacock accompanies improvisers Brian Thacker and Bradie Wagers as they take on five movie suggestions from the audience, setting up hilarious scenes that you will never see in the movies.
*Third Date is an improvisational theatre group directed by Dan Sipp. They perform regularly at Common Ground Theatre in Durham, as well as other Triangle venues. The cast consists of Dan Sipp, Nancy Pekar, Jenny Spencer and J Chachula. These four veteran actors create improvised shows based on your suggestions. Their scenes are a comic and sometimes bittersweet exploration of relationships with partners, family, friends, and co-workers. They reflect the joys, surprises and everyday frustrations of life in our weird, wonderful world.
