I just might have a soft heart for the hard hitting gigs. I love music with hard hitting guitars and rough and sweet bikers so when there is an opportunity to enjoy the company of both ~ Let’s go!
Last night The Adam Hill Band took the stage at an event that has been happening for over a decade and offers live music each year. Thunder on Tobacco Road is a motorcycle rodeo and gathering that takes place each Spring and Fall at Mason Dixon Park, in Seven Springs, NC. Complete with fun, games, camping, vendors and live music. It’s all about having fun for the weekend!
Let me say from the standpoint of spectator, the band killed it! They rocked the field with their hard hitting, guitar driven grooves. It was so good, I even had to dance. One day, I am going to learn how so I don’t look so silly! Oh never mind, no I won’t!
This band is my hobby, my side project and sweet blessing of a music mastery! Who am I? I am with the band because my heart called me. I really do believe that somethings are completely out of our control. I also believe we are put in people’s life for a season, reason or a lifetime! I feel I am here for a reason and a lifetime with Adam Hill. I feel blessed that it is me that is discovering this guy. I can’t even tell people how much that impacts my life and makes my dreams come true.
I have been in search of a guitar player and his story for as long as I can remember. I have witnessed many along the way and this journey is far from over for me, but this Adam Hill player held me at his first guitar solo. And that was in July 2016 and today I still shake my head and say to myself, “Did he really just do that, did I see that?” with wide eyes and wonderment. I remember driving home from Jacksonville after a gig one night and telling myself, I can’t believe no one is telling his story. I feel it is important to hear music that you can feel; so I am happy to tell the people about this band, every day and all day long!
The people, in return, always seem to understand my passion when they see Hill for the first time themselves. Last night was great proof of that. Everytime I turned around I was hearing great things about the band. At the end of the night I was speaking with a couple who had been attending this rally for more than a decade and they said hands down, “This was the best band we ever saw out here!” Thank you for saying so Ann and I appreciate you backing her up on that Steve. It was an awesome night of great rocking music!
Now taking off the spectator glasses and putting on the critic’s hat, let me share with you my frustrations in the hopes of getting some help for this well deserving talent. First off, I am frustrated that I don’t have the resources available to invest in this band like I wish I could.
My want list for this band is endless. But it starts out with how I want them to have all the tools they need to shop for their success. I need endorsers and some help in seeking them out. I need strings for this man so that he can continue to rip through them or afford the ones that last two months. He deserves Fender and Gibson to pay him some attention. We needs better equipment, lights, and I even want a bus to cart them all around in…but in the meantime, just a little help would be awesome…so if you are reading this and know a guitar gear company looking for an amazing guitarist to help them market their products, please send them to me. I am Tracey Stones, and I represent the Adam Hill Band. I am seeking investors, endorsements, session work and recording opportunities, as well as opening act gigs for any national act touring through our area willing to consider giving a local guy a shot on stage! Tracey Stones Productions. LLC is handling the negotiations and can be reached by calling 318-789-6929.
