The first Wednesday of each month brings theĀ Folkstone String BandĀ to theĀ Mellow Mushroom, located at 4311 Oleander Ave., Wilmington, NC. They serve up the music during the dinner hours of 6:30 pm-9:30 pm

It is a listening session for, theĀ Addicted to My Ex. This includes a meet and greet and an awesome session too. Featuring Atlantic Recording ArtistĀ M City JR,Ā this event is taking place atĀ Celebrity Studios, located at 5312 Six Forks Rd., Raleigh, NC. Doors open at 5 pm and the session starts at 6 pm. What better way to enjoy music than with the artist that actually created it? Well, Atlantic Records artist M City JR is coming to Celebrity Studios of Raleigh, NC to do just that with you! This will be M City JR’s first project released since signing in June 2016, he has spent a great deal of time in North Carolina since then on a College Tour and is headed back to bring the project right to you! Make sure you are there for an exciting time, great music and maybe a leaked track or two from the upcoming project. Photo opportunity available, merchandise will be available also, refreshments will be served during meet and greet. Mr. Addicted To My Ex himself is excited to share this time with you!

Live atĀ The Bullpen, located at 359 Blackwell St., Durham, NC, isĀ Harvey Dalton Arnold.Ā He will be performing live from 7 pm- 10 pm. Here is what I learned on the Facebook events page:
Harvey Dalton Arnold is a singer, guitarist and North Carolina-native who has a passion for the blues. He sold millions of albums as a member of southern-rock band The Outlaws from 1976-80 and has played at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall. He has also shared the stage with the Rolling Stones at Anaheim Stadium. Harvey performs a left-handed finger-picking style and slide playing on electric and acoustic guitars. He has received much acclaim for founding and performing with The Harvey Dalton Arnold Blues Band.

The world-renowned St. Olaf Choir, conducted by Dr. Anton Armstrong, is coming to Charlotte, North Carolina! Repertoire will feature J.S. Bach’s “Singet dem Herrn” with chamber orchestra, as well as other choral works by Äriks EÅ”envalds, Gyƶrgy Ligeti, and St. Olaf College composers Robert Scholz and F. Melius Christiansen. They will close the concert with a set of traditional American folksongs, including a work by Moses Hogan.
Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students. A discount for groups of 10 or more is available.

Looking around town here in New Bern tonight they have an open mic event each week at Mesh, located at 2500 Trent Rd., New Bern. All players are welcome to come out and enjoy the fun, found in making music. Display your talents and have an impromptu practice with the band.
