I headed out to AJ McMurphy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, located at 1914 Turnbury Dr. Greenville, NC, where I enjoyed a full night of music with special thanks to The Adam Hill Band and some great food.
I had actually been out to this place before to enjoy some live music courtesy of The Roman Sams Band, who I caught a few months back when I was cruising around the town. After so many months of plugging their live music, I decided to stop in and check it out.
It is a wonderful pub and great restaurant too. The service was good and the staff was courteous and friendly. My group enjoyed a few of the appetizers that were on the menu throughout the night. We indulged in some pretzels that were served with a hot cheese dip. We also enjoy some boneless wings which were delicious and tender.
There is also an awesome patio which serves as the smoking section, with lots of tables and dart boards for passing the time. Inside the bar is huge and there are a great many tables to accommodate your party large or small. In the room off of the bar area is the stage side of the room and more tables to enjoy the music.
If you have not made it out to AJ’s yet and have been meaning to check it out; I recommend checking them out some weekend soon, where the music is hot and the food is served the same way! For your musical enjoyment tonight you can check out The Main Event Band, who will be rocking the house tonight from 10 pm til 1 am.

Evening Star Entertainment Presents SLAUGHTER with Special Guests, Kickin’ Valentina, Prowess & Hayvyn.
Slaughter hit radio, MTV and the U.S. touring circuit like a tornado coming, seemingly out of nowhere to roll through
everything in its path and turn it upside down. Touring the world with bands that they loved, Kiss, Ozzy, and others meant the
good times were just a song away , and their first hit single, “Up All Night” certainly fit into that mold, their second chart-topper,
“Fly To The Angels” was more representative of the spirituality and awareness that goes into most of the band’s music and
Five songs on their albums were #1 MTV videos. Seven of the songs were in rotation on AOR radio. Like
any group who has known the thrill of selling millions of records around the world , filling large arenas and having their
faces plastered on magazine covers, the members of Slaughter have felt the pressures of maintaining that success.
“Seven years ago , it’s all we could think about,” says Dana, “but then losing Tim and seeing music come and go over
the past few years has taught us a lot about the music business and has allowed us to re-evaluate what we’re doing.”
Slaughter has shown that with perseverance and sheer talent, a band can survive and win over the support of fans,
regardless of what others may say about the quality of their music. What’s most important is that their music is still
here and the vast majority of critics who panned them in the past are not, and that’s as good as gold.
