Rockin’ Road to Dublin is the new sensation that combines the art of an Irish dance show, the power of a Rock-N-Roll concert, all with the finish of a Broadway theatrical production.

Here’s what people are saying about Rockin’ Road To Dublin:

The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts will continue the “Rockin’ the Forest” music series on Friday, Feb. 24, with Sarah Shook & The Disarmers.

Designed to offer local audiences first-rate performances that in the past required travel to downtown Raleigh, Chapel Hill or Carrboro, Rockin’ the Forest takes place inside the intimate comfort of the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre.

Sarah Shook & The Disarmers are a country band with a sneer, a bite, and no apologies. Shook’s original songs take on the usual country spin on relationships and bad decisions.

When Shook’s first band, Sarah Shook & the Devil, broke up after a solid three year plus run, Shook and her guitarist, Eric Peterson, continued to meet, practice, and plan. In late 2013 they put together brief stint called The Dirty Hands which ended after a handful of shows. The project they were looking for soon arrived with the addition of former Two Dollar Pistols frontman, John Howie Jr., (now frontman for John Howie Jr. & the Rosewood Bluff) as drummer. Sarah Shook & The Disarmers was born. Shook and chief engineer of Manifold Recording Studios, Ian Schreier, had worked together some years before when he supervised intern Mario Bianchi recording the Devil’s seven song EP simply titled, Seven. Shook and Schreier had been discussing creating a full length album together for an age and, finally, during the first weekend of April, 2015, it happened. After nearly a decade of playing solo or fronting a band, Shook released her first full-length album, Sidelong, on October 16, 2015, at the Cat’s Cradle Back Room in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. “…a sneer, a bite, and no apologies.”

Tickets for each concert are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Ticket can be purchased online at Tickets may also be purchased with cash, check or credit card at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre Box Office, 405 S. Brooks St. On the day of the concert tickets can be purchased at the door. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and seating is limited.

The 5-piece genre melding band hailing from Boone, NC is making their debut in Greenville and happily celebrating Crossbones Tavern’s 2 year anniversary! Come hear how boonetown gets down!
Funklestilkskin will melt your face with high energy songs and heavy percussion. Boone native and wild frontman Erik Brandt will give you a taste of eccentric songwriting coupled with magical guitar solos. Holding down the rhythm section we have Travis Shoulder on bass and Sergio Grossi on keys. Some say what separates Funkel is the combination of two percussion players, Joshua “Biskit” Upchurch and Landon “LP” Powell. With 3 sets Funkelstiltskin will be sure to drop some classics elevated with a Funkel twist!
No cover!
