Today will mark the official grand opening of MaMa Callie’s Louisiana Seafood, located at 701 US Highway 70 New Bern, NC. This event will take place all day from 11 am til 10 pm. There is a benefit concert taking place tonight at The New Bern Riverfront Convention Center, located at 203 S Front St., New Bern. This concert is being presented by New Bern Rotary Club and the money raised will go towards ending Polio which still plagues us today. Doors open at 6 pm and the music will roll til 10:30 pm. General admission is $25 per ticket and VIP packages cost $60.00. On the bill you can enjoy the sounds of local stringers and fun folk infused bluegrass sounds of Merchant’s Road, followed by The Folsum Four a legendary Tribute to Johnny Cash and June Carter.
Sometimes it takes a community to lift our residents after tragedy hits. Tonight at The Brown Pelican, a community will gather to raise money for Lori Flowers, who lost her husband Keith two months ago very suddenly to cancer. They had just received the news of Keith Flowers illness just weeks before the cancer claimed him. To help with the cost of medical bills incurred in those several weeks and the cost of sudden funeral arrangements has left the family struggling with more than one family should. So Heather Haiss is setting up a fundraiser night for The Flowers Family. On hand to entertain you will be local players
Bruce Lynch, Buck Loy, Paid Time off and Saltwater Gold Band.
Music starts at 7 pm and lasts throughout the night. There will be raffles, auction items, and lots of great ways to help this family as they get back on their feet from such a tremendous loss.

Steel County Express roll into Kinston tonight to rock The Red Room, located at 220 N Herritage St., Kinston. Music starts at 10 pm and they offer up all the modern country favorites you love for dancing. There is a $5.00 cover charge at the door for the show, but the music is always worth the cost of admission.
Looking around Jacksonville, I found several shows to tell you about tonight. First up is Adam Hill Band live tonight at The Brown Derby, located at 1940 Wilmington Highway, Jacksonville, NC. They get the good grooves cranking at 8:30 and rock you til the night ends. Come out and see this amazing band, before you have to buy expensive tickets to go see it!
Daryl Lucas will be live tonight at Nick’s Blacksheep Tavern, located at 1140 Old Maplehurst Rd,. Jacksonville, NC. Lucas will take to the stage with his beautiful bride at 9 pm and they will rock you through the night. Come enjoy their selection of familiar favorites from many genres and styles.
Freeway will be delivering the acoustic sounds for the folks gathered at Biagio’s Cafe, located at 622 Court St. Unit 100, Jacksonville, NC. Music starts at 7 pm and goes til 10 pm. There is a $10 admission fee and the cost includes appetizers to enjoy with the music.

Winslow’s Deli, located at 120 W 5th St., Greenville, NC, offers the music of Jessy Esterline this evening from 8 -11 pm. This roots singer delivers the down home sounds familiar to the American landscape. Check her out as she offers some folk, blues, and country roots stylings for your dancing pleasure.
TrainWreck will be stopping at Grey Goose, located at 9527 Highway 903, Ayden, NC, to offer their fun and funk filled sounds. This happening party band hails from Greenville and offers the best songs for getting your groove on. You can come early and enjoy a free meal, but you must pay for the music. Admission is $10 per person or $15 per couple. Food is served at 8 pm and music is delivered from 10 pm til 2 am.
There will be a fun evening of Bluegrass being offer tonight by Ted Jones & The Tarheel Boys, live at R.A. Fountain General Store, located at 6754 E Wilson St., Fountain, NC. Music starts at 7:30 pm and they will be picking and grinning til 10:30 pm
Band of Oz will be on stage this evening at SALT Ultra Lounge, located at 325 Mangrove Blvd., Emerald Isle, NC. There is a music charge payable upon admission. Doors open at 8 pm and music gets started at 9 pm.
Barefoot Wade will also be in the same neighborhood. He will be dishing out his island sounds and fun grooves at The Emerald Club, located at 8102 Emerald Dr., Emerald Isle. He gets the party started at 8 pm and will groove with you til 11 pm.
Justin Castellano will be live in the lounge of Icehouse Waterfront Restaurant, located at 103 Moore St., Swansboro, NC. He offers the good tunes from 9 pm til midnight. Come early for the great food and a good seat and stay late to watch Castellano working hard for you!

Danica Fletcher and CB Johnson are back at Liberty Tavern, located at 7976 Market St., Wilmington, NC; with more music! Come enjoy an awesome venue on the north side of town. If you’re in Bayshore or Marsh Oaks you can walk home if you need to! Acoustic originals and covers from Bonnie Raitt to Sara Bareilles and the Grateful Dead to Willie Nelson! Music starts at 8 pm and they groove til midnight.
The Groove Pirates will be offering up the good grooves that go great after a fine dinner. They will be live at Gibby’s Dock & Dine, located at 315 Canal St., Carolina Beach, NC. Music starts at 8 pm and they keep the rock cover tunes cranking til midnight!
