Around Town, Getting Down; New Bern~
Strung Together a band featuring local lawyer, actor and music maker, George Oliver and his family will open up a show this evening at Trent River Coffee Company located at 208 Craven St., New Bern, NC. Following the opening set of Strung Together get ready for another fine Bernaroo Production:
A graduate of Berklee College of Music and master of a myriad of instruments, live-looping extraordinaire Jeff Miller is returning to New Bern to showcase his unique performance style and incredible talents. The modern one-man band, Jeff flawlessly combines his organic instruments with technology to create complex multi-layered compositions as a solo act. GEM Productions is thrilled to bring this captivating performer back to New Bern for a live show you won’t want to miss!

Live tonight at the Brown Pelican on Broad St. come on out an welcome regional stringer Daryl Lucus live tonight from 7-10 pm. This player stays busy around Jacksonville and down thru highway 17 corridor to Wilmington. Stretching out and looking for new territories to the North he makes a stop in town tonight.
Bruce Lynch will be live tonight at The Thirsty Bruin from 8-10:30 pm. They are located at 224 Middle St. and offer the best in craft beers and wines. Stop in take a load off and enjoy the sounds of this local player who can bring back the memories with songs by John Cougar Mellencamp and dig on the blues with some Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
Just in time for Halloween stop by The City Laundry located at 901 Pollock St, New Bern for the Drag Show, Cabaret Performers, Costume Party and Dance Party. Tickets are $10.00 and available at the door. Come on out for a fun night featuring wickedly fabulous talent!

Live tonight at Bern Bar located at 1904 S Glenburnie Rd., New Bern, NC it is Comedy Night. Live entertainmet starts at 8 pm but great food and libations are awating you now. If you have not been here for a burger yet, tonight is a great night to check it out. Stay for the laughs and great drink specials.
Just over the bridge you can find Zen Pirates live at Triple Play Restaurant located at 111 Williams Rd, New Bern, NC. They get the Halloween and Costume Party started at 9 pm and rock you until closing tonight. There is a $5 music charge for the band, but they are worth it. Covering the best in classic rock, check out this local outfit while they are in town and in full Pirate Fashion for the holiday!

Casablanca has a show tonight at Cru Bar & Wine Store located at 120 Turner St., Beaufort, NC. They perform an eclectic mix of music from jazz classics to Bossa Nova. Showtime is 8:30 – 11:30 pm. This trio hails from NEw Bern and features a guest player on guitar tonight. On a plethora of strings you can alos hear Simon Spalding and on drums and percussions pieces Glenn Druhot.
New Bern’s own Backseat Romeo Ed Prophet will be perfoming tonight at Boro Cafe & Restaurant located at 109 N Front St., Swansboro, NC. He will perform his classic sounds from 7:30-10:30pm.
The Switch is live tonight at Locked & Loaded located at 309 McCormick St., Garner, this regional popular act gets the room rocking at 10:30 pm and perform until 1:30 am. There is a $10 music charge for the show. It is going to be a rocking good night at Locked & Loaded!
Another lpopular act on the scene Spare Change has a show tonight at The Red Room located at 22 N Heritage St, Kinston, NC. They get the party started at 10 pm and rock the room til 2 am. playing all the familiar favorites that make you want to dance! There is a music charge at the door and a great staff ready to wait you your every need!
Outshyne have a show at Tavern on 4th located at 110 E 4th St, Greenville, NC. They take to the stage at 9:30 and keep the place rocking til 1:30 am
