Stained Glass Canoe is from nearby Madison, NC and is known for strong lead vocals, vocal harmonies, and tight instrumentation. Their diverse repertoire features music and influences from multiple genres (Americana, rock, blues, funk, reggae & more) and eras (50’s to present). SGC performs in multiple configurations duo (acoustic guitar and vocals), three piece (acoustic guitar, bass and vocals), four piece (drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars and vocals) or five piece (drums, bass, acoustic and electric guitars, fiddle and vocals). Their first studio CD “Dig In” is being released this year (2015).

Each member of Handsome Al and the Lookers has been making music for lots of years. Dave and Alan most recently with the “Chicken Fried Blues Band,” Emma with “Big Mama E and the Cool,” Richard not so recently with “Nantucket” and “BJ Thomas,” Steve with Al and Dave in “Marie LeBleu & the Comitz.” Boils down to this: the guys can play and the girl can sing. Have a listen … it’s all in the music.

Dave Youngman – keyboard, sax, guitar, vocals
Steve Boletchek – bass
Richard Gates – drums
There is a triple bill of hard rock lined up for tonight at the Maywood located at 658 Maywood Ave, Raleigh, NC, Tonight they bring you Hayvyn, sleaze rockers that recently were recently nominated for Rock Band of the Year, Last Call Messiahs, and Prohets of Addiction rocking the room from 9 til midnight. Here is what was listed under the details on the Facebook events age:
Saturday night Sunset Strip party at the new & improved Maywood!
Lovers of metal, mascara and musical mayhem, The Prophets of Addiction are so authentic and such masters at what they do that it’s like some mad scientist extracted the pure essence from their genre – Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, The Ramones, Hanoi Rocks, LA Guns, Lords of the New Church and all the best glam/punk bands – and gave rise to The Prophets of Addiction.
“It’ll have all the glam bangers jumping for joy with plenty of big choruses and the sleazy drawl of Lesli Sanders; this is possibly the best album of its genre for many a moon – if only Guns N’ Roses still made records like this the world would be a better place. It’s unashamedly down ‘n’ dirty and combines glammed up glimpses of the Ramones with some super sleazy riffage like the LA Guns used to peddle.” – www.uberrock.co.uk
Last Call Messiahs – all original American hard rock band with plenty of sleazy swagger and bourbon soaked adrenaline to have you banging on the dashboard and screaming along!
Hayvyn – Raleigh’s own good time glam rockers!www.facebook.com/hayvyn***

Please remember to be kind to wait staff and bar tenders alike. They show up at work so to ensure you can have a good time. Even when things don’t turn out perfect, it is perfectly okay to tip the server just the same. They work hard to make you smile so please do something nice to make them smile too. And speaking of tips, please share some love with the music makers that make us dance. FREE music is never FREE so please donate generously.
