I have been a fan of this player since covering the blues circuit in the mid 90’s. He gives up an amazing guitar show for auiences that enjoy Americana based music stylings. Here is what else I learned about him on the Facebook event page:
Multiple Grammy-winning renegade Steve Earle, one of the great American singer-songwriters, effortlessly blends folk, rock and country in superbly crafted songs that meander between personal confession, outspoken political comment and keen character studies. With a career born in late ’70s Nashville, he changed the course of country music and gained a cult following intoxicated by his restless energy and rabble-rousing creative bent. His 2015 Texas blues album Terraplane is an homage to the likes of Robert Johnson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lightnin’ Hopkins, ZZ Top and Freddy King. Steve Earle has also appeared as
an actor on the HBO series The Wire and Treme.

High energy and an unforgettable live performance is the hallmark of these Vermont funk rockers, who fuse a new breed of rock and roll with a vibrant instrumentation to create a powerful sound palatable to audiences of all ages. Coming from Greenville,NC the psychedelic textures of Psylo Joe began back in Spring of 2014. Meeting at a local music venue called Peasant’s Pub during open mic sessions, the band formed a relationship and started playing music together. Bryan and Matt formed the idea back in college playing with friends and had a barn that was called the “Silo” in the backyard of Bryan’s college house where they held many parties. The first part of the name “Psylo” comes from the barn they started in, but spell it with a “P-s-y” to relate to the Psyches of the mind (Music moves our mind). “Joe” resembles that each person is just like you and I, average Joe’s.
Psylo Joe is an improvisational band who explores divergent areas of music such as funk, rock, acid jazz, blues, and traditional. The band consists of Bryan (guitar, vox), Matt (Bass) George (guitar, vox), Hunter (saxophone), and Tom (drums). The band has taken their artistry all across North Carolina, and have developed a loyal and congenial following. Psylo Joe provides an elevation of the mind and soul, and is surely one of the most welcoming bands around
