I walked into the holiday by grooving with the two bands I work with regularly. The Feral Cats gave up their great rockin’ blues grooves on Wednesday evening at Circa 1810 Restaurant & Bar at Harvey Mansion. They offered all that gathered on the patio great sounds from 8-11 pm.
The four piece band is based in Lenoir County and is often found in rooms around Kinston and New Bern, NC. They are a fun party band, thick with blues and classic rock influences. They are available for travel and can visit your venue, just give me a call to get them booked in your room soon.
Making the sounds that always make the fans dance and move on the floor, are Scott Carlisle on lead guitar, Sam Zouari on guitar and vocals, Greg Howard on bass and vocals and on the back beat and offering most of the lead on vocals in Kim Kornegay. The band has been together for nearly a year. Three of the four players united late last year for a holiday party and today they offer shows monthly to the fans and friends that have gathered along the way.
For anyone who have time to check them out of Saturday evening, they will be rocking at the Brown Pelican, 411 Broad St., New Bern. The show is free and music starts at 8 pm.

My next stop was Jacksonville and Nick’s Blacksheep Tavern, to enjoy a second annual offering of Adam Hill Band live for a Pre-Turkey Day Bash. This was the gig where I first saw the vision of Adam Hill on a bigger stage.
It marked the first gig I saw Hill upfront and in control of his own direction. When we met, he was the guitarist in a band that did not accentuate his original works very much. It was at this gig a year ago though that he stood front and center before me for the first time, and I left inspired and so grateful to know him, his band as well as his family.
With leaving that gig and walking into a holiday of thanks, I decided to create an online stage for the artist in the hopes of helping him get his name out there. He is extremely talented and not just in covering other artists music. I feel his most gracious offering is the music of his soul, his own original works.
Though there have been some personnel changes in the year and a half since meeting Hill, he always brings a solid show to any city they visit. The current lineup features the bass work of Gordy George, who also offers vocals and backing vox on several songs and the drummer work of Cecil Pittman Jr., who not only binds the beats but also offers many strong vocal offerings. With these solid players backing him today, Hill gives a great guitar driven show for all that witness this act live.
In the year we have been working together, it was my hope to put them on display via the internet, to find more opportunity which has presented itself. That was my only hope in creating the platform for
Special thanks to the many fans and friends and family members that have shared my live music feeds. It has been a wonderful year of working with all of these talents.
